Introduction

This is a classic conference call prank.  It is probably the easiest, mindless type of prank phone call that you can make while still being funny.  The goal of the conference call prank is to call two people at the same time and hope that they both answer simultaneously.  They will both say "hello?" and each will think that the other person called them.  Most likely both of them will be very confused and bewildered.  If you have conference calling (or if you have two separate lines), you can do this yourself, however, be aware that there are some legal issues to take into consideration.

Information about the call

I did this when I was in high school.  I believe I was a junior at the time.  CallerID was not available in my area at the time so I didn't have to worry about that.  Although conference call pranks don't take all lot of talent, they definitely take a lot of time.  I used to spend hours and hours calling miscellaneous numbers before I would get something that was halfway funny.  A lot of people just hang up.  I don't know Kate or Dylan, but they went to my high school.  I've been told that Dylan Mills played hockey, and that Kate Miller was an "alternative girl."  I got their phone numbers out of the student directory, and since they have similar last names and are in the same grade, I'm sure they knew each other from homeroom.

Description of the call

I called at about 11:00pm.  Dylan was apparently on the other line, and Kate was sleeping.  When Dylan clicks over to the other line and hears "hello?" from Kate, he gets confused and thinks that she was the same person that he was talking to before, so he continues his conversation.  When Dylan finds out otherwise he gets even more confused.
